1. EANGUS has a philanthropic foundation called We Care for America which is an emergency financial relief fund similar to Army Emergency Relief and Air Force Aid Society. We Care for America provides grants up to $500. However, it is only open for EANGUS members. Since membership is fairly inexpensive, it might be worth joining to apply for the grant (spend $20, get $500). For more information visit https://eangus-wcfa.org/sarge-application/.
2. In addition to the S.A.R.G.E. Grant, EANGUS has a COVID-19 grant program for Guard members (officer and enlisted) who are experiencing a financial hardship due to having lost their primary income, or who have an increased financial burden as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Grant funds should be utilized for basic household needs such as food, housing, utilities, medical services, childcare and other essential family support items which have become difficult to afford as a result of the national pandemic. No membership is required. These grants will also be $500. The link for more information is https://eangus-wcfa.org/.
3. EANGUS also runs Operation Vet Care, where they give grants to veterans in financial need. This link is https://eangus.org/operation-vetcare/.
4. As an exception to their normal policies, Army Emergency Relief and Air Force Aid Society are also giving loans and grants to National Guard members. For AER, go to https://www.armyemergencyrelief.org/covid19/nontitle10reserve/
